Families United is a registered charity based in Warrington, dedicated to supporting local families who have a child or young person with a disability. Our aim is to unite families by fostering mutual support through shared experiences, effective strategies, and a deep understanding of the challenges that raising a child with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) can bring.

We offer families the opportunity to participate in a range of local activities and trips, with the aim of improving health, wellbeing, and social opportunities in a safe and supportive environment.

What We Offer:

Our member families benefit from a variety of regular and ad hoc activities, including:

  • Weekly Sport & Swim Sessions: Held every Sunday at the Woolston Hub in partnership with Sport Works.
  • FUN Club: A beloved monthly club, with additional weekly sessions during the summer holidays, hosted at Warrington Play & Sensory Centre.
  • Family Retreats: Relax and recharge at The Puddle Project retreats.
  • Parent-Focused Activities: Tailored sessions to support parents and caregivers.
  • Ad Hoc Monthly Activities: A variety of special events and activities.
  • HAF Sessions: Holiday Activities and Food programs.

Membership:

We welcome any family with a child or young person who has a disability, regardless of the nature of the disability. Membership is free and open to families residing in the WA postcode area.
